Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public grounds
- Operate heavy machinery including loaders, graders, and snow removal equipment
- Assist in park landscaping, tree trimming, and green space upkeep
- Respond to weather emergencies (snow/ice removal, storm cleanup)
- Conduct safety inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Maintain equipment and tools in optimal working condition
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on special projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience with heavy equipment operation (loader, dump truck)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and safety protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to pass background check and physical examination
