Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in construction, maintenance, and repair of city infrastructure
- Operate heavy equipment (backhoes, dump trucks, graders) with proper training
- Assist in stormwater management, drainage systems, and erosion control
- Execute snow removal and emergency response operations during inclement weather
- Maintain public spaces including parks, sidewalks, and recreational facilities
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with construction tools and heavy equipment preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and variable schedules
- Strong commitment to public service and community safety
