Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and asphalt patching
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, tampers, and small loaders
- Assist in street maintenance, sidewalk repairs, and storm drain cleaning
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Support emergency response during natural disasters or infrastructure failures
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- 1+ years of relevant labor experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
