Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light equipment including jackhammers, saws, and asphalt compactors
- Assist in storm drain cleaning, brush removal, and landscaping projects
- Participate in emergency response activities including flood and debris removal
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and city protocols
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with hand/power tools and construction equipment preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental stewardship
- Basic math skills for inventory and measurement tasks
