Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, trenching, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power saws, compactors) safely
- Assist in road maintenance, sidewalk repairs, and drainage system upkeep
- Execute snow removal operations during winter emergencies
- Conduct site preparation and cleanup for construction projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain equipment
- Document work progress and maintain inventory of supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid New Mexico driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work
