Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (excavators, dump trucks, rollers) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, grading, and landscaping
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public facilities and equipment
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute project timelines
- Document daily activities and material usage for reporting purposes
- Respond to emergency public works situations as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Ohio Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- Experience with hand/power tools and construction materials
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
