Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and drainage system maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders) under certified supervision
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk installation, and park facility upkeep
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in emergency response operations during weather events
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment inspection records
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction/public works preferred
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety equipment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely
