Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and asphalt compactors
- Assist in construction projects including bridge repairs and utility installations
- Conduct safety inspections and report hazardous conditions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate work schedules
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years of construction or public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment
- Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities
- Pass background check and drug screening
