Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and paving operations
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, concrete saws) safely
- Maintain parks, streets, and public facilities through repairs and upkeep
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related incidents
- Collaborate with team members on daily project assignments
- Complete accurate documentation of work performed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
- Ability to obtain required certifications within 6 months
