Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and debris removal for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, trenchers) under supervision
- Install/maintain traffic control signage and safety barriers
- Assist in stormwater drainage system inspections and repairs
- Support park maintenance and green space development initiatives
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety checks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols (OSHA certification a plus)
- Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug screening
- Strong work ethic and punctuality essential
- Ability to follow verbal/written instructions precisely
