Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery: Safely operate excavators, backhoes, loaders, and skid steers on job sites.
- Manual Labor: Perform digging, grading, paving, and concrete work as directed by site supervisors.
- Maintenance: Inspect, clean, and perform minor maintenance on tools and heavy equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials and equipment efficiently.
- Site Support: Assist with traffic control, erosion control, and general site cleanup.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is preferred but not mandatory (on-the-job training provided).
- License: Valid Driver's License (CDL Class A/B is a plus).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in various weather conditions.
- Safety Training: OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a significant plus.
- Attitude: Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a cohesive team.
