Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, grading, and asphalt paving operations.
- Maintain and clean streets, sidewalks, and public right-of-way areas to ensure city-wide sanitation.
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of storm drains, water lines, and sewer systems.
- Operate and maintain light to heavy construction equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure strict adherence to all OSHA safety regulations and environmental standards on job sites.
- Load and unload construction materials, debris, and equipment from job sites as required.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to coordinate project tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid Class C Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record is mandatory.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly over long distances.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended shifts (typically 8-10 hours).
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety protocols is preferred but not required.
