Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor tasks including sweeping, cleaning, painting, and snow removal.
- Operate and maintain municipal vehicles, light equipment, and hand tools.
- Assist in public infrastructure projects such as road maintenance, sidewalk repair, and drainage work.
- Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations and city policies at all times.
- Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Inspect work areas for hazards and report unsafe conditions immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Valid California Class C Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance practices is preferred.
- Strong commitment to public service and attention to detail.
