Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and storm drains
- Operate heavy machinery (dump trucks, graders, backhoes) with precision and safety
- Conduct park maintenance including landscaping, irrigation system upkeep, and facility repairs
- Respond to weather emergencies (snow removal, flood control) during on-call rotations
- Adhere to OSHA standards and municipal safety protocols for all operations
- Complete daily equipment inspection reports and maintenance logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in public works, construction, or municipal maintenance
- Valid Oklahoma Class A CDL with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency in basic hand tools and power equipment
- Must pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Tulsa residency required within 6 months of hire
