Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for road maintenance, sidewalk repairs, and park upkeep
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater management and snow removal operations
- Support construction projects including material handling and site preparation
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Michigan Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with hand/power tools and construction equipment preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material calculations
