Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
- Assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of public infrastructure such as sidewalks, curbs, and storm drains.
- Operate light to heavy construction equipment including dump trucks, loaders, and rollers.
- Assist with traffic control duties, including setting up cones, signs, and flagging operations to ensure worker and public safety.
- Participate in snow and ice removal operations during winter months to keep city streets safe.
- Perform general cleanup of job sites, including removal of debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a secure work environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Physical stamina required to stand, walk, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or public works is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Ability to obtain a CDL Class B license within a specified timeframe (if required for specific tasks).
