Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks, including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
- Operate and maintain light to heavy construction equipment such as backhoes, rollers, and jackhammers.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of streets, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters.
- Perform landscaping duties including mowing, weeding, planting, and tree trimming.
- Clear debris, litter, and vegetation from public right-of-ways and drainage ditches.
- Follow all OSHA safety standards and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Work in various weather conditions, including high heat and humidity typical of Hawaii.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members on job sites.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class 3) required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic math skills for measuring and estimating material quantities.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Experience with construction tools and safety equipment is a plus.
