Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscape maintenance
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, power washers, asphalt cutters)
- Assist in traffic control and work zone setup for public safety
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of public infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project execution
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental standards
- Document work activities and maintain equipment cleanliness
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety procedures
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and variable schedules
- Strong teamwork ethic and communication skills
