Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and general cleanup at various construction sites.
- Operate heavy and light construction equipment, such as jackhammers, rollers, and forklifts.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and debris from trucks using hand signals or forklifts.
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities.
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and compliant with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Follow detailed instructions from supervisors and foremen to execute projects efficiently.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class C) and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a physical examination and possess the stamina to perform physical labor in all weather conditions.
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal public works is highly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards (OSHA 10/30) is a plus.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Willingness to work overtime and varying shifts as needed.
