Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of city equipment
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols while working on public works sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
- Document daily operations and equipment usage reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Nevada driver's license (Class A/B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation aptitude
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification within 30 days
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
