Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, graders)
- Perform road maintenance, snow removal, and drainage projects
- Assist in construction and repair of public facilities
- Conduct site inspections and safety compliance checks
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and basic maintenance
- Follow municipal safety protocols and environmental standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Alaska driver's license
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical exam
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- No experience required – training provided
