Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders)
- Perform road maintenance, landscaping, and construction tasks
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and repairs
- Maintain cleanliness of public works sites
- Follow strict safety protocols for equipment handling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects
- Complete daily equipment maintenance reports
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Experience with hand/power tools
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent
