Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, moving materials, and operating provided equipment
- Assist in construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate and maintain city-provided tools, machinery, and vehicles safely
- Follow strict safety protocols and wear provided personal protective equipment
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
- Document work progress and report maintenance needs to supervisors
- Work in various weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with hand/power tools or heavy equipment preferred
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime
- Basic knowledge of construction or maintenance practices
