Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city-owned equipment (excavators, dump trucks, etc.)
- Perform road repairs, sewer maintenance, and park upkeep
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols
- Assist in storm response and emergency infrastructure repairs
- Conduct routine inspections of public works sites
- Maintain accurate work records and documentation
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool knowledge
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Strong commitment to public service
