Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city-provided equipment (mowers, trucks, hand tools)
- Perform grounds maintenance, street repairs, and park upkeep
- Assist in construction and infrastructure improvement projects
- Follow strict safety protocols for equipment and manual labor
- Collaborate with team members on daily tasks and assignments
- Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License (Class C or higher)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in all weather
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
- Commitment to workplace safety standards
- Residency in Laredo or surrounding area preferred
