Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided machinery (excavators, dump trucks, etc.) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and material handling using provided tools
- Maintain public spaces with supplied equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.)
- Follow safety protocols for all equipment operations
- Assist in emergency response with city-provided emergency gear
- Report equipment maintenance needs to supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Tennessee driver's license (required for equipment operation)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs with provided lifting equipment
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical exam (fitness equipment provided)
- No felony convictions
