Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders)
- Perform road maintenance, drainage repairs, and snow removal
- Assist in construction projects for parks and public facilities
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Maintain clean and safe job sites following OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Alaska driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment handling skills
