Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, graders)
- Perform road maintenance, drainage repairs, and sidewalk construction
- Assist in public facility upkeep and green space management
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Maintain equipment logs and daily inspection reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Ability to obtain Class B CDL within 90 days
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in Louisiana climate
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment operation
- Commitment to safety and teamwork principles
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
