Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city-provided heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, graders)
- Perform manual labor for road maintenance and construction projects
- Assist in storm drain and sewer system repairs
- Conduct site cleanup and debris removal operations
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Complete daily equipment inspection reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year equipment operation experience (certification preferred)
- Valid Class C Nevada Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or obtain within 30 days)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and site plans
