Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy public works equipment, including rollers, dump trucks, and backhoes.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as excavation, grading, and paving operations.
- Assist in seasonal services, including snow removal and street sweeping.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Load, unload, and organize construction materials and debris efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with site foremen and other crew members to ensure project efficiency.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and minor maintenance checks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License (CDL preferred but not mandatory).
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in all weather conditions.
- Experience with heavy machinery or construction is a plus.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and instructions precisely.
