Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city-provided heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, graders)
- Perform road repairs, drainage system maintenance, and sidewalk installations
- Assist in snow removal, debris cleanup, and emergency response operations
- Conduct routine inspections of public works equipment and facilities
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and proper equipment handling procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient project completion
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with heavy machinery operation preferred but not required
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
