Responsibilities
- Operate heavy and light construction equipment (all tools and machinery provided).
- Perform general maintenance, repair, and cleaning of streets, sidewalks, alleys, and public parks.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and debris from trucks.
- Assist in traffic control, flagging, and sign placement during road work.
- Assist engineers and supervisors with various manual tasks and site preparation.
- Ensure job sites are clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
- Participate in snow removal and drainage maintenance as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Texas Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Previous experience in public works, construction, or landscaping is a plus but not required.
