Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy machinery (excavators, graders, loaders) for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Conduct routine equipment maintenance and safety inspections
- Install/repair public utilities and drainage systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Document daily operations and project progress
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on construction timelines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years of heavy equipment operation experience
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Basic knowledge of civil construction methods
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
