Responsibilities
- Operate city-provided heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks)
- Perform road maintenance, drainage work, and landscape construction
- Conduct site inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols using provided equipment
- Assist in emergency response projects during inclement weather
- Maintain accurate work logs and project documentation
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification
- Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operation experience
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly in outdoor conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of civil construction standards
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
