Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscape maintenance
- Operate heavy equipment safely (backhoes, dump trucks, jackhammers)
- Inspect and repair public infrastructure (sidewalks, drainage systems, traffic signs)Maintain job sites with proper safety protocols and cleanliness standards
- Assist in emergency response operations during severe weather events
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale public projects
- Complete daily work logs and incident reports accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- OSHA 10-hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends/evenings)
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
