Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and asphalt patching
- Operate light equipment (dump trucks, sweepers, forklifts) with proper certifications
- Conduct routine maintenance of public spaces, parks, and stormwater systems
- Assist in emergency response during weather events (floods, ice storms)
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Complete daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance checks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation experience
- Strong attention to safety procedures and detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
- 1+ years of public works or construction experience preferred
