Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, landscaping, and equipment operation
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park upkeep
- Operate machinery safely (dump trucks, loaders, etc.) with proper training
- Maintain clean work sites and adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
- Support emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Virginia driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in all weather
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety protocols
- Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, or weekends
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Previous landscaping/construction experience preferred
