Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, rollers) under supervision
- Install and repair traffic control devices and signage
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage systems
- Conduct site inspections and document work progress
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and city regulations
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- Valid Georgia Driver's License (Class C or higher)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- No felony convictions within the past 7 years
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Commitment to completing the full 6-week training program
