Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance including pothole repairs, sign installation, and traffic line painting
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, compactors) and hand tools for infrastructure upkeep
- Assist in snow removal operations during winter weather emergencies
- Conduct park maintenance including landscaping, debris removal, and equipment repair
- Support stormwater management projects through drain cleaning and pipe inspection
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols during all field operations
- Complete daily equipment maintenance logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends when needed
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in public works or construction preferred
