Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including road maintenance, park upkeep, and facility repairs
- Operate hand tools, power equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently
- Assist in construction projects including sidewalk repairs, drainage improvements, and landscaping
- Maintain clean and organized work sites following safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily assignments on schedule
- Report maintenance issues and suggest operational improvements
- Support emergency response efforts during weather-related incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods in outdoor conditions
- Strong work ethic and commitment to public service values
- Prefer 1+ years of experience in labor/construction roles
