Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including road repairs, drainage maintenance, and park upkeep
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, sweepers) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in stormwater management and flood control projects
- Collaborate with crews on sidewalk repairs, signage installation, and vegetation control
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Maintain clean and organized work sites following OSHA standards
- Support emergency response crews during weather-related incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, dust, monsoon season)
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, or weekends
