Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) safely and efficiently
- Perform groundskeeping duties at parks and municipal facilities
- Assist in storm cleanup and emergency response operations
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project timelines
- Document work progress and maintain equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varying weather
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Strong attention to safety and detail-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently and follow verbal/written instructions
- Flexible availability including weekends and evenings as needed
