Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for road maintenance projects
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, tampers, and pneumatic tools under supervision
- Assist in repairing sidewalks, curbs, and drainage systems with precision and safety protocols
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report maintenance needs
- Maintain clean and organized work zones while adhering to OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on seasonal stormwater and snow removal initiatives
- Support sustainable urban development through recycling and waste reduction practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Ohio Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform strenuous physical activity
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Basic proficiency with hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Strong work ethic with punctuality and reliability in flexible scheduling
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Previous public works or construction experience preferred
