Job Overview
As a Public Works Laborer, you will play a crucial role in keeping Riverside moving. From patching potholes to maintaining drainage systems, your work directly impacts public safety and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, grading, and trenching.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery such as jackhammers, rollers, and loaders.
- Assist in the construction and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and organized at the end of each shift.
- Operate light vehicles and forklifts as required.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines strictly.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members on-site.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Valid Driverβs License and clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform strenuous outdoor labor.
- Experience with construction equipment or road maintenance is a plus.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
