Responsibilities

  • Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
  • Operate light machinery (backhoes, dump trucks, sweepers) and hand tools safely per OSHA standards
  • Assist in asphalt/concrete repair, sidewalk installation, and stormwater system maintenance
  • Conduct daily site inspections, document progress, and report safety hazards to supervisors
  • Support traffic control operations during road maintenance and construction projects
  • Participate in emergency response activities during weather events or infrastructure failures
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform basic preventative maintenance checks

Qualifications

  • Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
