Responsibilities
- Perform heavy equipment operation (excavators, loaders, graders)
- Install and maintain stormwater drainage infrastructure
- Execute road repair and asphalt paving projects
- Conduct site preparation for municipal construction
- Operate power tools safely and efficiently
- Adhere to OSHA and city safety protocols
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years public works/construction experience
- Valid Virginia Class B CDL license
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with GIS/GPS mapping systems
- Stormwater management certification preferred
