Responsibilities
- Execute heavy construction and maintenance projects including road repairs, drainage systems, and public facility upkeep
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) with precision and safety protocols
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, material handling, and debris removal
- Adhere to OSHA standards and maintain safe work environments at all times
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, supervisors, and fellow laborers
- Inspect project sites and report maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in public works or heavy construction
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Strong understanding of blueprints, safety protocols, and equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience with municipal infrastructure projects preferred
