Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (backhoes, loaders, dump trucks)
- Construct and repair sidewalks, roads, and drainage systems
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure projects
- Conduct routine inspections of public works sites
- Maintain accurate project documentation and logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction/public works experience
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and site plans
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with concrete work and asphalt paving
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
