Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including landscaping, debris removal, and street maintenance
- Operate light machinery (mowers, trimmers, trucks) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in stormwater management and flood prevention initiatives
- Support public facility upkeep and park rehabilitation projects
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for emergency response operations
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment inspection records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool usage knowledge
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- OSHA 10-hour certification (provided if needed)
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
