Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, and compactors) under supervision
- Assist in repairing sidewalks, streets, and drainage infrastructure
- Maintain job site cleanliness and safety protocols
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment
- Support traffic control and site setup for public projects
- Document work progress and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours daily
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Orleans Parish
